XPS 9510 new bios fails to install
Hi,
Dell update shows an bios update to 1.14.0. When I update it fails to install.
When I look on Dell XPS 9510 drivers page it doesn't show 1.14 bios.
Dell site only shows bios 1.12.0, but on my XPS installed bios is 1.13
Anyone an idea how to solve this?

It seems that Dell removed the latest BIOS without any notice (as usual). So it's not a good thing to be the first in line to update BIOS every time you see new one. If your machine runs well, I would hold off on BIOS update for a few weeks 'til you see posted complains are resolved.

I'm having the same issue. I'm not "messing with it". Dell's own software (Dell Update and Dell SupportAssist is showing it as a Critical Update, but it fails almost immediately. I also have 1.13.0 currently.

Do not mess with bios updates. You could brick your computer. Run msinfo32 to see what bios you actually have. On the US page, 1.12 is the latest bios for your computer.

Try it manually (ie, NOT in Dell Update or Support-Assist).

This might work, except that this BIOS update (and the one before it) isn't available for download on the support page. The latest version available there is 1.12.0.

I don't know why we are being told 1.12 is the latest bios update. I received a notice for 1.13 and it installed fine. I'm having the same issue as described in this thread with 1.14 but it appears the file was removed but the update register still references the removed file. Give it a month or so...
