XPS 9315 // OS Recovery fails - Missing Files on dellupdater.dell.com

XPS 13 9315

XPS 13 9315

Im pulling my hair out recovering the windows 11 on my xps 9315 had the mainboard and display replaced by dell. After hours of throubleshooting the error "download verification was unsuccessful" within the Dell OS Recovery Tool i noticed the following within the log file of the dell os recovery tool:

24-10-25 17:41:57,298 [1] [INFO ] StartDownload:download server=184.28.89.231,GUID=,service tag=XXXXX, file resource URI=https://dellupdater.dell.com/non_du/supportassist/saremediation/releases/latest/osri/config/sys_settings_sos.xml #StackInfo#
24-10-25 17:41:57,838 [11] [INFO ] Received download progress data: progress = 0, remainTime = 00:00:00 #StackInfo#

24-10-25 17:41:57,840 [8] [INFO ] Cannot find the concat thread, it should be use the single thread download mode. now ExitConcatThread end #StackInfo#
24-10-25 17:41:57,841 [8] [INFO ] DoDownload end... #StackInfo#
24-10-25 17:41:57,842 [1] [INFO ] CloudSystemSetting SOS setting load base: D:\osri\manifest\sys_settings_sos.xml #StackInfo#
24-10-25 17:41:57,847 [1] [INFO ] IsVersionValid, minVersion is 4.0.0.0, currentVersion is 5.5.12.0. #StackInfo#
24-10-25 17:41:59,060 [1] [INFO ] StartDownload:download server=184.28.89.231,GUID=,service tag=XXXXX, file resource URI=https://dellupdater.dell.com/non_du/supportassist/saremediation/releases/latest/osri/config/osri_manifest-0B14.xml #StackInfo#
24-10-25 17:41:59,581 [20] [ERROR] FAILURE TO CONNECT TO REMOTE SERVER - System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found.

For every plattform defined in sys_settings_sos.xml there is a osri_manifest-<plattform>.xml downloadable to verify the offline image created with dell recovery tool - but not for 0B14 - the file to verify the signature is just not available at the dell servers.

There is no chance to get the os recovery done as dell missed to publish signature validation files! I mean what the heck! Dell, please fix this or tell us how to bypass the validation.

The File is still not available, so no recovery possible. Any Update Dell?

I believe this issue is also causing the latest "SupportAssist OS Recovery Tools" aka "SupportAssist Remediation" not to be offered via Dell Update or the SupportAssist software update feature for the XPS 9315 model. I have other XPS and Latitude models that did get the 5.5.13 release, but it's never offered for the 9315. I believe the version before 5.5.13 also never came through for the 9315 iirc, but before that the updates worked.

Could someone from Dell at least acknowledge that they've seen this and pass it up the food chain to get investigated and fixed?
