XPS 9315 2 in 1 detachable battery replacement
I have had the XPS 13 9315 2 in 1 with the detachable keyboard. I bought this because I basically wanted a Windows tablet. I'm pretty sure the battery is at the end of life. Games I used to play on it for a couple of hours would only use 15-20% of the battery. Now after half an hour the battery drops to 40% available. When I charge it with the Dell charger it gets really hot. Is it possible to replace the battery? I didn't see any screws on the back and it is a unibody so there is nothing to separate with a plastic scoring device.

The service manual is mute on the procedure but I suspect you're going to find the display is glued in and will need to be removed to access and replace the battery (this is Dell's most Apple-like design in that regard).

You may want to leave the replacement to a repair shop, as removing the display without damaging it may not be trivial.

XPS 9315 battery replacement = Yes
XPS 9315 2-in-1 battery replacement = No
Besides the SIM card, nothing else is customers serviceable on this tablet. Sourcing OEM battery will be an issue. The "not for resale" is an engineering term applied for a prototype, which was no doubt used for the photography. It may not be easily replaceable by an owner, but the OEM battery is available and a repair shop can change it.
