XPS 17 9720, slow Wifi speed

Question

Hi, and I am having another problem with my XPS 9720. Now it has to do with slow Wifi speeds. I am getting 300Mbit down and between 3-10Mbit upload.

My phone, connected to same Wifi, has constant (600Mbit up and down). Connecting the XPS via LAN cable also gives me full 600MBit up and down.

The XPS is next to my Wifi router and I have also tried different Wifis (same slow results). I have deactivated Killer and most other programs that I suspected could be the problem.

Could it be a driver issue? The driver currently installed for the Intel Wifi 6W AX211 160Mhz is from July 21, 2025 (version 23.160.0.4)

Well I will suggest you to Reset Windows network stack. It can be helpful in fixing the issue.

Well you can try to update the  the wifi driver to it's latest version in case the driver is outdated.

You should update wifi driver to latest version as GauravSyst suggested

According to your Dell Product Support page, the latest version for your computer wifi is 23.160.0.9, A58

I am assuming your other drivers, firmware, BIOS and applications are outdated as well.

Please select "Check For Updates "in the link below. The latest Wi-Fi driver should appear in the list.

I regurlarly install updates for drivers and BIOS. To make sure, I just checked on the Dell website and it says "System up to date". The installed driver that shows up for AX211 is 36.25.3250, A23 where it says in the notes: After you install the package, the Intel BE200, BE201, and AX211 WLAN driver version that is displayed in Device Manager is 23.160.0.4.
