XPS 15 9500, nothing but problems
I have had nothing but problems with my XPS 15 9500.

What used to be renowned as a reliable and great model has deteriorated immensely. You would expect a $2000 laptop to last more than 3 years with extremely light workloads of small Microsoft Office applications every other week, but the laptops fry themselves.
For the past year, my laptop has failed to boot randomly. The solution is to keep it plugged in and wait a random amount of time until it decides it wants to work again. It will run fun for a few hours and then you will get a black screen. This is an extremely common issue and your options are to let the laptop sit as e-waste or spend several hundred dollars on replacement 2nd hand motherboards. I have had nothing but bad experiences.

Where and how do you get the motherboard replace now? Dell support won't answer me, and I would like to give it another try

Parts-people.com is one option if you live in the US. If not, you can at least look up the part number for the mainboard so you can search locally.

I have the Dell XPS 9500 as well and have encountered several issues, such as the amber light suddenly blinking, requiring a reboot to resolve. It has been a frustrating experience dealing with these problems. It's worth noting that Dell has been facing challenges with their after-sales support. Reports suggest that they have been reducing their workforce. Some users have raised concerns about the technical expertise of their support teams, particularly when it comes to resolving hardware issues caused by quality control shortcomings.
