XPS 15 9500, does not recognize charger

Message to DELL. My 2020 Dell XPS 15 9500 has a HUGE problem with power and Dell can fix it with a BIOS update.

Here we go.

Problem: every day, once or twice the Dell would not recognized power adaptor on USB C, it then lose battery very quickly and then dies when you really don't want it to die. Once it has died, then you somehow it will finally charge!

Wha does NOT help: I updated the sw, changed the battery, nothing helped, except the following procedure =

Solution, when the charge is lost here is what was recommended on the support network, it works!

1. Unplug the charger
2. Shutdown
3. Then reconnect the charger
4. Reboot
5. reconnect
6. Voilà

Can you fix this in a new BIOS?
