XPS 14 9440 FHD+ refresh rate
In process of looking at new XPS 14 Laptop to replace my 15 yr old XPS 14 laptop. I am trying to sort out display screen options. I have read so much information on OLED touch screens and the Screen Door Effect that I am hesitant to look at OLEDs.
As I am going from a 1600x900 60 hz display (with NVIDIA card) to a new display (planning to include NVIDIA card) so I am sure any screen will be a great improvement. I am leaning heavily towards the FHD+ display especially if it does have 120 hz refresh rate capability as stated in owners manual (Owner's manual states 30 -120 hz refresh rate).
Trying to confirm from someone who owns XPS 14 9440 with FHD+ display; if it actually does have a refresh rate up to 120 hz. Is this selectable rate or does the display automatically cycle to what software determines is best based on current activity/usage?
My primary use of laptop is for everyday tasks at home to include some photo editing, light to moderate MS Office use, etc. Not a power user but I do like how well my last XPS worked/lasted and tend to keep my laptops till they are obsolete ... in this case I only have 8G ram so it did not do well when I tried to update to WIn 10 a couple yrs back.
Thanks in advance for comments/assistance/recommendations.
