XPS 13 Plus- Computer lid problem

After I used my computer 3 hours today, my computer screen closed. I thought that my computer has problem which is related to software due to the last update. Then I re opened my computer. When up to the screen towards 45 degree, my screen is normal but it is on the 90 degree, the screen dim out and I cannot see anything on it. This issue have been lasting for all day

If the system is under warranty, call Dell for service.

If it's out of warranty, check the cable that connects the screen to the mainboard.  If it's an XPS 9320 Plus, service manual below.

@ejn63 thank you for support.

My computer warrant is out so I cannot apply the service. I think there is not an hardware problem like cable unconnection. My computer was on the the table and I did not move it.

Run a screen diagnostic (hold the D key through powerup).  Does the same fault show on the test screens when you open the cover in the same way?

@ejn63

I tried it now. When the cover was at 45 degrees, the screen turned into different colours like red green, but when I turned it to 90 degrees, the screen went out.

That's not a software issue.  It's hardware -- check the cable that connects the display to the mainboard.  If it's just disconnected, or poorly connected, reseating it should solve the problem.  If it is damaged or that doesn't help, the display assembly needs to be replaced.

@ejn63

I see. Thank you very much for your support. If the cable was completely damaged, I don't think there would be any display at all. I'll try reinstalling it. If I need to replace the connection do you have any idea how to get it?

The cable cannot be replaced separately.  If it is damaged, you need a complete display assembly.
