XPS 13 Plus 9320, USB-C port no longer working

Hello,

My USB-C port on my 3 month old Dell XPS just stopped working. Terribly disappointing. From the forums it seems that this is a regular thing for Dell XPS? Not the kind of failure one would expect for such a high end device. Anyone have any suggestions how I can resolve this issue?

Hi Jesse,

Installed the updated chipset drivers which seemed to have done the trick.  Port works fine again, thanks!

 BrianWhitehead,

Is the system working better now after you installed the updates?  Let us know.

Hello! I am facing the same issue. The USB-C ports were working until an hour ago and suddenly stopped working. How do I get around this?

@BaryBazz I went on the Dell website to the official Dell Driver downloads.  You should see the Chipset drivers there.  Can also consider doing the BIOS update.

We had 3 Dell XPSs in our company, all with the same issues.

This laptop has given me so many issues... screen failed and had to be replaced, mouse pad failed and had to be replaced, keyboard keys started falling out and had to be replaced, hard drive failed and had to be replaced...

my best advice to you is get a different laptop...

@BrianWhitehead Thanks Brian that's very helpful. I think you have been very unlucky as I have had my XPS for 7 years without any major issues.
