XPS 13 Plus 9320, backing up (full image)
The only way I know how to backup a laptop is to use the restore/backup image functionality from Windows 7. I know that this is an antiquated method. Can you point me to some articles/discussions on what methods are recommended for full disk image backup?

For system image you can use the same options as they are still available in windows 10/11.
For disk cloning SupportAssist OS Recovery can be used.
Reboot to F12 > Supportasist OS recovery > Skip > backup > Clone.
If you need Continuous incremental backup (image) than you will have to third party applications

Windows 10 and 11 can still do this, but Macrium Reflect and other third party tools make the job much easier.

@XPS_Man Will this backup and restore work even if Windows 11 Home device encryption is turned on as long as I have bitlocker recovery key obtained via manage-bde?
