XPS 13 9350 laptop, display goes black, diagnostic LED blink pattern indecipherable
Once in a while my XPS 13 9350 laptop has a failure where the display goes blank, no fussing will bring it back, and the diagnostic LED blinks in this pattern: 1 amber, 8 white.
I found a handy diagnostic LED blink pattern table -- but it does not list this pattern.
Anybody know what this pattern means?

It looks like a firmware error -- does the system have the latest firmware?
The latest is 1.16.1 from December 17, 2025
