XPS 13 9315, Windows Audio Device Graph Isolation High CPU
During Zoom calls, Windows Audio Device Graph Isolation uses 30% of CPU, causing Zoom calls to stutter and making it impossible to do anything else during call. This is an XPS 13 9315 with 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1250U 1.10 GHz and 32 gb RAM. I have 1 gb internet speed.
I've tried everything for the past year:
- Disabled audio enhancements (why should I have to do that with a supposedly powerful computer?
- Updated drivers and bios, and also rolled them back
- Reset the computer multiple times
- Even bought new speakers
That last one was a waste of money because I later realized the problem happens both when I use the internal speakers as well as external speakers when connected to a docking station.
I’m pretty upset about this problem. It has made this computer useless for one of the most important things for which I need it, which is video conferencing.
This is my fourth Dell XPS 13. My older Dell XPS 13 that I still have works fine on Zoom but has other issues.
Loved the other XPS 13s. Not at all happy with this one. Probably the last Dell I’ll buy.

I paid for premium support plus supposedly 24/7. I called twice today and both calls were dropped before a human ever answered. I tried chat. Waited 30 minutes. No response. Gave up. Another reason why this is probably my last Dell. Support used to be really good. Last couple of years it’s been terrible.
