XPS 13 9315, USB-C port on the right side does not work for mouse/data transfer

XPS 13 9315

XPS 13 9315

The USB type C port on the right side does not work for data/mouse transfer. It only works on power. It used to work... And... now it works 10 times like a miracle/from time to time, when I uninstall from the device manager. The one on the left works both on power supply and data transfer. I reinstalled Win 11 (this was also the case before...) Please help me to fix it... It is inconvenient to use the mouse on the left.... Thank you!

I have and tried about 3 types of splitters but... it still doesn't work. From time to time (not always) it works with USB uninstall from Device manager... but... it doesn't keep... after 10-20 min. of use again doesn't work anymore... I also went to the IT guy and... he couldn't finish it... my intuition tells me that it's from Win 11... some setting... or BIOS ...

To troubleshoot a USB-C port issue on your Dell XPS 13 9315, follow these steps:

1. Check the cable and device by testing the USB-C cable and mouse on another device or computer. If the issue persists, try using another USB-C device.
2. Restart your laptop to resolve port and hardware detection issues.
3. Update drivers and BIOS by visiting Dell Support's website and downloading available updates.
4. Check power settings by going to Device Manager and selecting Universal Serial Bus Controllers.
5. Inspect the USB-C port for any debris or dust.
6. Boot your laptop into Safe Mode to ensure the USB-C port works without third-party software interference.
7. Check Device Manager for errors and try using an adapter if necessary.
8. Test the port on a different operating system, such as Linux, to determine if the issue is related to Windows or the hardware.
9. If none of these steps resolve the issue, contact Dell Support for further assistance or repair.

Here’s a concise comment you can use:

"The USB-C port on the right side of my XPS 10.0.0.0.1 10.0.0.1 is not working for mouse or data transfer. It doesn't seem to recognize devices or provide data connectivity."

Let me know if you'd like to modify it further!
