XPS 13 9310 - Service Tag not recognized

Hello,

A few months ago, I bought used XPS 13 9310 from reseller. I don't know anything about history of this laptop, but It just works. Except one: Service Tag wasn't programmed in the BIOS. I had option to write something in that field, so I write code from bottom case under "ST" placement.

Unfortunately, DELL cannot recognized it in any other place than "Add product" under Account settings. It found information about the model, but I see badge with note "Problem with technical supports services" (don't quote me here, I translated it from my language).

I'll never try to resolve it, because laptop just works (any problems with Windows license), but I always have problems with drivers and DELL additional tools which required Service Tag.

Do you have any ideas what's happen here? For clarity, the only what I want is using drivers and tools from DELL -- if laptop was previously bought by company or something like that and there are other rules than "normal" consumer market, I don't want to re transfer any rights to me (or something like that).

Only your seller can explain the reason and answer questions about the system history, but you can easily download anything available for the system here without needing a valid service tag.

@ejn63 I could, but I cannot use a tool to automatically recognize which drivers I need to install - not all are applicable and necessary for my setup.

Like I mentioned, It isn't something I would need to fix, but want

If so, you need to resolve the service tag issue with your seller.
