The less expensive option is a USB card reader -- these are under $30.
The only internal fix is possible only if the damage can be reversed by gentle bending back in shape. If not, it's unlikely that replacing the system board will be an economically feasible option -- it'll likely cost more than the system is worth.
Service manual is here

I would suggest a local laptop technician, that has experience opening Dell ultrabooks (yes, it takes skill to do it without further damage) and servicing them.
They should be able to remove the SD-Card for you once inside. If not then useable, you just start using an external-reader as @ejn63 suggests.

the mainboard replacement is out of the question. im going to bring it to ubreakitifix it. they said they can removed the sd card. whatever can be done remains to be seen. if they can swap out the sd card slot would be ideal. it, however, is soldered to the mobo. we shall see
thank you for your replies

i just saw this on a google search:
the SD card slot (which is part of the right-side Input/Output board) can be replaced on the Dell XPS 13 9310 2-in-1, but it is not a dedicated, independent part. It requires replacing the entire I/O board module, which involves removing the bottom panel, fan, and disconnecting the ribbon cable.
when i took the bottom cover off, the sd card slot appeared to be part of the main board. i couldnt be sure since i never removed the cooling fan assembly. does anyone know for sure?
