Xps 13 7390 wont turn back on after being shut down for a long time

Hi,

Bought this laptop (xps 13 7390) a fewa years back. Its not been used for quite some time and now when I try to switch it on, it wont turn on.

- I held the power button for almost 2 minutes - no change.

- when I connect the AC adapter (tried multiple ones that I know are working), no led light on the laptop indicating charging.

- I also tried disconnecting the battery and held the power button for about a minute. No luck after connecting it back.

I however noticed that if The power button is pushed multiple times, at some point, the keyboard lights up with no other signs of powering on.

any help or guidance to troubleshoot will be greatly appreciated.

thanks!

The question mentioned that it has not been used for a long time. Normally, it has been in storage state for a long time. The CMOS battery life is about 1 year. I think from a simple perspective, you can try to replace the CMOS battery first.

it might be due to dead battery, if you don't wanted to replace right now, charge it for at least 30 minutes, it should be working after charging but if not then it needs a new battery.
