Wifi Issues with Windows 10 Pro after connecting from Wifi6 to legacy 2.4Ghz or 5 Ghz the adapter just stops working.
XPS 15 9510
I am observing the following on my fully updated XPS15 9510 with Win Pro 10 with Killer(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX1650s 160MHz Wireless Network Adapter (201D2W) Driver 23.60.1.2 from 01.05.2024 :
At home I have 3 wifi networks : WiFi6 network, legacy 2.4ghz that I keep for some IoT things that do not support 5Ghz and I also keep the 5Ghz network for management. In total there are 3 SSIDs and 2 access points - 1 running wifi6 and the other running the legacy 2.4ghz and 5ghz networks for IoT. Whenever I try to move from the Wifi6 to the 2.4ghz or 5ghz the adapter just fails - no warnings, no messages. All networks disappear. If I try to start the Windows Troubleshoot - I can select the wifi, but windows doesn't seem to find any problems with the adapter, yet there is no connections. I've tried enabling and disabling the adapter from device manager - this just causes the whole device manager to freeze and nothing happens as well. This happens also when the laptop is plugged in or on battery. I would assume that the driver is not particularly happy about getting off from wifi6 and into a legacy 2.4/5ghz network and this causes some kind of error. How can I solve it tho?

Others with the Killer adapter have had better luck by uninstalling all Killer software and keeping only the drivers.

After removing the Killer software package, which I must say I've never ever used, restarting the laptop when I connect to the legacy wifi and then to the wifi6 and back to the legacy wifi the interface still becomes unresponsive, the only way out of it is a restart. It's quite annoying and I've downgraded the driver to a previous version - the exact same is observed with the earlier version as well.
