Why is the process TISmartAmpService.exe signed by Texas Instruments Inc. in my dell laptop?

Hello,

I'm interested in the process TISmartAmpService.exe signed by Texas Instruments Inc. running in my laptop under C:\Windows\System32 directory.

I assume that my dell laptop is using some third-party modules which need this process to be running for some enhanced experience like speakers?

Thanks.

Most Thunderbolt chips are made by TI -- that's probably what the service is for.
