Unwanted windows popping up

XPS 16 9640

XPS 16 9640

I love the speed of my XPS 16 while working in Lightroom and Photoshop, but my XPS 15 is a lot less annoying.  The problem is that instead of keyboard input for Esc. F2, etc., the 16 has pressure sensitive lights.  Thus if my hand strays anywhere near them, unwanted windows such as "Screen Display Settings" or "Screen Brightness" (and others) pop up.  Get too near Esc. can mean loosing work.

I must use the tip of my finger to change the brush size with the bracket keys--which I do constantly!

So my question is:  How can this rigmarole be temporarily disabled so I can work in peace?

   Thanks.
