Slow charge warning 180w laptop 180w docking port
Getting a slow charge warning with my 180w laptop using 180w docking port. Now understand the power to the docking port is 180w and not 180w to the laptop. Could I use a second docking station with a combined power to laptop of grater than 180w to get rid of the slow charging warning?

The system will accept power from only one connection at a time, so you can't add two power inputs to total what the system needs. As the other reply indicated, a specific answer requires knowing what model system you have, but if it needs a 180W adapter, it is all but certain that regardless of that specific, you can't power it over a docking station alone.

So would connecting a second docking station with 50w or greater for a combined 180w or greater solve the problem? Or will docking stations not add power like that?

Yes, you are exactly right, you need a dock that outputs more power.
A 180-watt docking station typically delivers only 130 watts to the laptop. You need a Dell docking station that delivers 180 watts to the laptop.
This may be more than you need, but just as an example this Dell dock delivers 210 watts.

I'm not sure that that would be the best way to do it, or even possible as far as delivering 180 watts to your laptop.
If you specify your laptop model and dock model, I and others here may be able to provide more help. I'm not an expert on docking stations, so someone else may comment with more specific advice.
This thread has useful information, even though it may be out of date as far as current Dell dock products.
