Screen vertical transparent stripe
Any clue why/what is going on with this vertical semi transparent stripe whick has suddenly appeared on my XPS13? Have tried rebooting but any support re how to remedy this?

In your case, you can basically consider the screen failure. You can press the black bottom or top to see if there is any change. In order to rule out system problems, you can also observe in the BIOS. If the BIOS also has it, it is definitely a screen failure and needs to be replaced.

try that and see what it gives back, if any issues still persist you can confirm its a hardware issue and not software related. Graphical issues such as a graphics card would have colored lines since its the one providing the signal and a screen with this type of issue here is unrelated to a gpu.
