screen colors looked washed out, both plugged in and not
Hello! I saw that this was a common issue with Dell laptops and my unit's not an exception. My dinosaur of a laptop, Dell Latitude 6430u running on Windows 10 Pro, started doing this three days ago. Whenever I turn it on, the screen looks washed out and it doesn't matter how times I restart it in hopes that it'll maybe look normal again (that's what I did before). Plugged in and on battery, it's still washed out.
I tried Windows updates, updating drivers, and defaulting color settings. One solution posted here was to change battery efficiency through Intel Graphics Command Center through but the only options available for me to see under System is HotKeys, GPUs, and Hardware. 'Power' is missing. But I have 'Best battery life' for my battery settings, plugged in and otherwise.
This is actually a hazard to me since I'm sensitive to blue light in screens in general. Thankfully, night light keeps the impending migraine back for a bit but it's not a permanent solution.
Any advice is welcome and appreciated.

Run a screen diagnostic (hold the D key through powerup). If it shows the same fault, the screen needs to be replaced. If it does not, the mainboard needs to be replaced.
For either, you're better off replacing the system than repairing this one.
