replacing SD card reader for XPS 15 7590

Question

The SD card reader on my XPS 15 7590 stopped working, and I can see that the connectors are bent out of shape. It looks like a piece of plastic broke off from an SD card and mangled the connectors, so I'd like to replace the card reader.

I found card readers for the XPS 15 9500 and for the XPS 15 9510. Will either of these work with my XPS 15 7590?

It appears the SD card reader is part of the system board on the 7590 so it cannot be separately replaced. You can either use a USB reader in place of the internal one, or replace the mainboard.

You may also want to compare the cost of a board with the cost of a complete used system.
