Port Issue

Purchased laptop in late Nov 2024 and recently started to use the port on the right hand side. Usually only use the ports on the left to connect mouse. This week started to use port on the right and it seems the mouse connect intermittently meaning the port has a loose connection. Called Technical support and they are suggesting its physical damage and I'd have to pay for the fix!! What!? This is crazy... Anyone purchasing such an expensive laptop would take care of it which is what I've done however, instead of admitting its a manufacturing fault, they trying to blame customer. The USB port has never been mishandled or been USB twisted. I've raised this with customer support so lets see what happens. Would be great learn if anyone else is having issues with any of the ports?

Surely hope Dell rectifies this for me and anyone else having same issue otherwise, will have to go though consumer protection act or credit card company.

Very poor service from Dell and if not resolved, will never look at a Dell laptop ever again or recommend to anyone considering, I have purchased 3 XPS modes over the last 15 years.
