Oticon Hearing Aids, LE Audio, and direct PC connection
I recently started using Oticon Intent 1 hearing aids and the technical specs state they are enabled for "LE Audio" and "Bluetooth Low Energy technology". (I assume these are different protocols.) I have a XPS 15 9520 laptop and do not see any way to directly connect the HAs to the PC. I used the Oticon ConnectClip to link the HAs and PC and while it worked, there were noticeable latency issues when I looked at some YouTube videos. Does anyone know if this is a hardware or software issue? I have the most recent BIOS (1.25.0) on the XPS 15. I've read, but not verified, that these HAs have good sound quality when paired with those Android smartphones which have LE Audio. (including Pixels and some Samsung phones). Has anyone had a favorable experience with this? Thank you.

After some research, my understanding is that many network adaptors don't have Bluetooth LE Audio capability. In my case , I can see the hearings aids pairing and connecting/disconnecting from my laptop but I can't hear anything from the laptop. Also, both the source (your laptop) and the sink (your hearing aids) must be LE Audio capable for this to work.

Thank you. I had the same experience (connecting/disconnecting). After posting my message I did find out about a dongle that enables my PC to connect to my HAs using LE Audio . It is the FMA120 by FlooGoo and I purchased it on Amazon. I think the HAs only have one LE Audio chip so I cannot simultaneously connect my smartphone (Pixel 9 Pro) and the PC to my HAs. To make the PC to HA connection I turn off the BT on the P9P and insert the dongle in the PC (after pairing the dongle to the HAs once). The connection is very good with almost no latency.
