New XPS 16 DA16260 upgradable?

Hi there,

I am planning on replacing my XPS 15 9500 with a new laptop. The big benefit of my old 2020 modell was to be able to be upgraded, so I installed 2 SSDs and ended up with 32GB of RAM. To me, this means more flexibility, not only when it comes to repairing components.

I find it difficult today to find a laptop that offers these options nowadays, but still they are a must have for me. Therefore I moved away from apple in 2016 to Dell.

The new XPS is just anounced, so I am wondering if information on upgradability can be shared already?

If components are soldered again like in the recent modells, an upgrade is not possible, I might go with HP zbook X GL1 or XMG Fusion. I would definitely prefer to stay with dell as all my infrastructure in my office is dell too (except for HP DL 380 :) )

Thanks

Chris

Not upgradeable (soldered) -- the memory.  It's LPDDR5, which is soldered on.

The spec sheet shows support for one NVMe drive -- official max 4T, but does not show the size (it's probably 2280, since over-2T 2230 drives haven't been produced
