MyDell application crashes on startup
Hello everyone,
When I try to use the MyDell application (version 3.1.179.1 according to Windows 11 control panel) on my XPS13 (9315), it constantly crashes (see video below). After opening the app, it freezes after a few seconds, and it automatically closes. Any suggestions?
Perhaps a rollback to a version that does work (if so, which version to choose)?
On the Dell support site I see following available versions:

No Events found!

I stumbled upon another post commenting on the same issue (here), and it suggested running the MyDell application as administrator. Apperently (for the moment...) that did the trick for me.

I was experiencing the same issue in April 2024. And I am quite surprised that this is the only solution available. And if I did not Google it, I wouldn't know about this workaround.
How does this stuff pass QA? Shouldn't the app let the user know that something is not quite right, before quietly disappearing when the user tries to run it?
