Troubleshooting Dell Laptop Stuck on Dell Logo

If your Dell laptop is stuck on the Dell logo, follow these steps to troubleshoot the issue:

  1. Power Cycle the Laptop:

    • Disconnect the AC adapter and remove the battery (if applicable).
    • Press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds.
    • Reconnect the AC adapter and battery, then try to power on the laptop.
  2. Check External Devices:

    • Disconnect all external devices (USB drives, printers, etc.) and try to boot the laptop again.
  3. Reset BIOS to Defaults:

    • Restart the laptop and press the F2 key when the Dell logo appears to enter the BIOS setup.
    • Select Load Defaults, confirm the selection, and exit the BIOS. The laptop will restart.
  4. Update BIOS:

    • If the issue persists, consider updating the BIOS. Follow these steps:
      • Download the latest BIOS version from the Dell support website.
      • Create a bootable USB drive with the BIOS file (ensure it is in FAT32 format).
      • Rename the BIOS file to BIOS_IMG.rcv and follow the recovery steps to flash the BIOS.
  5. Contact Dell Technical Support:

    • If the laptop still does not boot, contact Dell Technical Support for further assistance or repair options.

Following these steps should help resolve the issue of your laptop being stuck on the Dell logo.

I also encountered this error, even though I haven’t updated Windows 11 recently.
