Laptop Screen Black - External Monitor Works

I have an XPS13 from late 2019.  The battery flashes white with 2 intermittent amber flashes.  Separately the laptop screen is Black, but I can use an external monitor.  I ran the LCD test on boot and it showed a Red, Green, Blue, and White screen then went back to black and the could boot up with the external monitor.  I disconnected the battery and plugged it in and booted up and was the same thing (ie seems like it is not a bad battery that is making the screen black)- the screen was black, but the external monitor worked.

Any other ideas?
