Laptop doing weird thing. No idea what happened. Please help.

earlier i was using my laptop as normal, then it froze, which occasionally happens then it sorts it self out after like two seconds, but this time it froze and is doing this (see video, if it added). there is this stuck on a fraction of a second type of noise, and there's a light above my brightness display that keeps flashing, it alternates back and forth between white and orange. my laptop has been doing this for almost an hour now, no matter what i try, it's not stopping. i would try to open the back of it, but i doubt i have the right type of screwdriver. i have an xps 14 btw. any help would be more than appreciated, please.

because i had my laptop unplugged after this happened, i think the battery died and therefore had to restart. everything seems to be back to normal now.

also, the only button that works in any capacity is the one that turns the lights on and off for the keyboard.

Please can you confirm the Make Model and OS, along with any configuration details like touch screen, backlit keyboard, SFF or tower etc etc.

@anne_droid

while the issue seems to have sorted itself out, i do appreciate the offer to help.

also, i'll be honest, i'm not very familar with computer terms, if you don't mind, for my future reference, could you explain what you were asking for?

if you don't want to, no worries. and thanks anyway.

Hi

Essentially

Make  Dell   if it was an attached printer, then who knows what it could be.

Model   XPS 14   quite a few variants, so it can matter.

Operating System    usually a Microsoft version W10 or W11, again quite a few possibilities.

TYPE  Laptop, with touch screen, backlit keyboard etc

Tower/Desktop  a micro, Small Form Factor  etc etc

When they are built some XPS 14 models may have a WAN port, or just a basic Graphics package.
