Is Dell XPS 9340 compatible with Dell UD22 Universal docking station
Good day dell community,
I hope this message finds you in good health and high spirits. I am reaching out to inquire about the compatibility of the Dell XPS 9340 with the Dell UD22 Universal Docking Station. My concern arises from the difference in wattage specifications: the laptop charger is rated at 60W, while the UD22 docking station is rated at 130W, with 96W available to the laptop. Could you kindly confirm whether using the UD22 docking station might pose any risk of damage to the XPS laptop?

Your XPS 9340 is compatible with many of Dell docking stations including the UD22. See the Dell docking compatibility guide https://www.delltechnologies.com/asset/en-us/products/electronics-and-accessories/technical-support/dell_docking_compatibility_guide.pdf.external
While connecting to a higher wattage power source, your device will take and accept only the power it needs for system performance and charging.

The system will draw only as much power as it needs, so that won't be an issue. If you have plans to connect a high resolution external monitor, consider a Thunderbolt dock -- this one is only USB-C.
