How to use the Euro symbol on XPS 13 9315
Hey does anyone know the keyboard combination that unlocks the € on the 5 key?
Tried what I think is every combo of either Alt + 5, CTRL + 5, fn + 5, or random combos of all 3 and + 5 and cannot release the beast!!
Any ideas please?
For info I don't have a number pad, I'm using ENG US keyboard settings.
Thanks in advance

Hi
If your keyboard is set to the US layout, press and hold the Right Alt key (the Alt key to the right of the spacebar) and then press the 5 key, which has the euro symbol printed on it. This should produce the euro symbol directly.
Using Alt Codes:
If you have a numeric keypad or can use an embedded numeric keypad, hold down the Alt key and type 0128 using the numeric keypad. This method may require you to press the Fn key along with other keys to access the numeric functions if your laptop lacks a dedicated numeric keypad

@ann_droid thanks for the response, but this didn't work.
Whilst in Word I pressed and held the right Alt key and pressed 5 and it opened up Microsoft Outlook :/
In Gmail, Notepad, other tools it does nothing.
I did specify in my post that I don't have a number (numerical) pad, so Alt codes aren't an option.
Any other ideas?

if using word just click on the symbol dropdown and the € sign is there to insert into your document or you can copy it to insert elsewhere.

@bacillus1 thanks for this, although it's a software workaround rather than a solution for the keyboard. And even then it will work only in Office, what about Google sheets etc.?
I did get a solution from Dell support though, response coming after this.
