How to set up 3 external monitors
I have a DELL XPS17 9700 with a NVIDIA GeForce 2060. I was told by support that I can have up to 4 monitors in 4K. I now want to use 3 external monitors but unfortunately I am only able to use 2 at once.
I have already disabled the laptop display but I can’t seem to connect the third monitor. For some reason I always get the message: monitor can’t detect USB C signal and the laptop doesn’t recognise all three monitors simultaneously but only two.
No Events found!

I know you already disabled the laptop display, but have you tried enabling Direct Graphics Controller Direct Output mode in the BIOS? Details on the steps can be found in the manual here.
Per the link to manual:
To change Direct Graphics Controller Direct Output Mode in the computer's BIOS
1. Restart the system and immediately press <F2> to enter the BIOS.
2. On the BIOS screen, select Display.
3. Select Direct Graphics Controller Direct Output mode.
4. Select Enable.
5. Save changes and exit the computer's BIOS
