How can I make a bootable backup of my laptop dell xps 13?

Hi everyone, trying to create a bootable backup of a Dell XPS 13 in case Windows 11 fails to start or the SSD has a problem. The goal is to keep important files, settings, and the system safe before anything goes wrong.

The challenge is that there are different methods like recovery USB, system image, and disk clone, and it is hard to know which one is truly bootable and reliable. What is the best way to make a bootable backup of my laptop dell xps 13? The laptop is running the latest Windows 11 25H2.

Thanks

Best option is storing your important data in external pen drive or external drive. And you must do this and newer windows update making many system fails recently on many brands. Also keep one windows  bootable device to repair windows or perform clean install in future is needed.

Also options like disk cloning, etc are not that reliable.

Windows' built-in system image tool is a way to make a bootable backup of Windows 11 without any additional software. Essentially, it allows you to create a complete snapshot of your system drive so that you can fully restore Windows 11 to a working state in the event of a system crash, boot failure, or severe file corruption.
Open the Control Panel, search for Backup and Restore, and then click Create a system image on the left.
First, select your external drive as the backup destination. Next, select the system drive and any other partitions you want to include in the backup. Finally, click “Start Backup” and wait 30–60 minutes for the process to complete. When prompted, create a system repair USB drive—this will allow you to boot your computer and restore it from the backup in the future.
This method helps you quickly make a bootable backup of Windows 11 without downloading third-party software, effectively resolving issues such as system failure to boot or system corruption.
