Galaxy Buds 3 Pro low microphone volume on XPS

XPS 15 9520

XPS 15 9520

When connected to my Galaxy Buds3 Pro, the microphone volume is so low that other people cannot hear me on teams, zoom, etc. When using the microphone test feature in settings, the total volume is around 4%. These earbuds work on my phone but not on this XPS 9520 or Precision 5480

Hi bro! I have the same problem with micro earlier, but i fix it.

You need to go to Control Panel - Device Manager - System Devices and find Intel Smart Sound BUS there.
Then click on update driver, not automatically but through search on this computer and click something like “Select from the list on this computer”, then select Controller HDA, install it and restart the computer. Done!
I also advise you to turn off microphone sound enhancement in MaxAudio.
I hope this helps you, I was also considering buying these headphones. Can you make a recording of the microphone sound from this laptop?

@BluBad after doing this, the smart sound bus is no longer present in system devices and no Bluetooth microphones work anymore. Even the microphones that were previously working.

@pnarup Hmm, interesting. I hadn't heard of this kind of problem before. Please return the standard driver in that case. You have MaxAudio installed, right? If not, you need it. I also recommend you to experiment with Realtek Audio Driver versions.

@BluBad  i have 6.0.9597.1 of Realtek Audio, recomend delete you version and setup this, In general, you need to find unique compatible versions of Realtek Driver and MacAudio to make everything work.
And i have this version of maxaudio.

@pnarup The main thing I want to say is that without installing drivers from Microsoft instead of Intel Bus you will not get normal functioning of microphones. Dell forgot about this problem, and after reading hundreds of discussions I came to this conclusion.

@BluBad Thanks, updating the RealTek version got my mics working again. Issue still exists with the galaxy buds 3 pro though, only 4% of sound being picked up.
