Display peripheral manager, crashed and slowed down my xps
I have been using Dell collaboration keyboard, Dell monitor and a premium compact mouse for more than a year. The setup was customized for my banking use including keystrokes and monitor layout. There was a software update prompted on 26th with the dell application used for peripherals. The update stuck at 50% for a long time and the prompt disappeared all of a sudden.
After the incomplete update, the previous dell application was not found! There were strange behavior with the keyboard mouse and overall system.
1) All the configured settings were lost! This is frustrating. A suite of comfort lost over a malicious update!
2) Mouse pointer movement was draggy and slow when hover over the monitor
3) Task bar disappeared, until system rebooted
4) Monitor settings went haywire
5) Overall the system slowed down
Upon checking further, a new application with almost invisible icon was found in task bar. Launching the application, all the devices showed up. click next and the progress circle stayed there a long time (extremely lagging..) moving between different menus crashed and the application disappeared all of a sudden! Annoying experience! Overall my XPS was slow with this malicious application.. tried to uninstall and the uninstallation took an era. Had to reboot the system twice to bring back my XPS to normal working condition. I lost the previous application. Please advise where and how can I get back my previous application running.

Same thing for me. Installing version 2.0.0.72 stuck at 50%. I have a XPS 9510 with latest windows 11 update.

Same issue with me. Windows 11, I am using Dell U4025QW monitor with dell premium Keyboard and Mouse. I also have a Dell Webcam - WB3023. The installation crashed first time. I uninstalled / rebooted and next time it finshed, however at the end, while launching the software, it hangs after 3 welcome screens (Finish button).
Earlier software were working perfectly, I had configured my monitor, network KVM, all settings etc. and Now not only the software doesnot work, but all configurations will need to be done and tested again between my windows machine , montior and macbook.
This is disappointing and has wasted time.

It is 7 June 2025 and the only solution I have is to uninstall Dell Peripheral Manager. But then I cannot see the battery status of my wireless mouse. Anyone know the solution?

What the hell? My PC works pretty well without this process. Once I installed it my PC just has a lot of lags. Like ur refresh rate is 30 for now.
When I kill the process I do not have any lags but after 5-10 seconds it appears again like a virus. So once I stopped and disabled all dell services I am able now to use my PC without lags.
P.S.: it uses 9-10% of CPU... Like RAM, CPU, GPU, etc are fine during this process but PC just runs like in 30 fps
