Display Issue on Dell XPS 9315

I own a Dell XPS 9315 laptop and I am encountering a display problem. When I open the screen to an angle close to 90 degrees, the screen automatically turns off. This issue seems to be related to the hinge or the screen's angle sensor.

I have tried restarting the computer and checking for operating system updates, but the problem persists. Could you please assist me in resolving this issue or advise me on the steps to take for a repair or replacement if necessary?

Literally just ran into this problem myself. Warranty was up in Feb. appears this is a common problem. Likely it’s the cable attached to the display, if you’re under warranty you’re probably fine. New display is like $350, hardly worth it for this machine IMO. I have been very disappointed in it and this is icing on the cake

This had just started on my brother's 9315, the web cam has been broken for ages (see the other long thread on here). I opened and shut the lid twice in succession today and now I have the same problem. The screen light goes off just as the lid gets to 90 degrees. Laptop out of warranty.

For my case, I reinstall and erase all the computer from beginning but the problem persisted. I went to a computer repairing shop, they ask me to pay approximate 700 Euro to change the whole touch screen monitor. It was too much compared to a brand-new laptop. Fortunately, I bought a warranty service for 1 year and I thereby have to send back the erased laptop to DELL preparing center.
