DELL XPS15 9530 SOUND SETTING FAULT
XPS 15 9530
Hey there everyone,
I have my Dell XPS15 9530 which is currently producing no sound at all from the internal speaker. Im very certain this is a setting somewhere or issue of that manor. I have an auxiliary screen plugged in which is plays audio perfectly, this counts the sounds drivers as all working correctly. Dell agent visited and replaced the internal speakers yesterday and doing a BIOS test on the speakers the speakers are producing a testing sound. Anything outside this the internal speakers are not working at all. All drivers are up to date and simple settings of what i can see appear to be correct.
Any help would be appreciated, as usual Dells recommendation is always a full windows reset which has proved absolutely pointless, with the last two issues i had with this machine.
Keen to hear of any thoughts.
Thankfully,
Cameron

Right click on speaker icon on the taskbar and choose sound settings. Once in these settings is the default output for sound the computer speakers or the auxiliary screen as the default? Just want to verify. Also, run the audio troubleshooter in Windows.
Here's a more detailed guide:
1. Run the Windows Audio Troubleshooter:
Access Settings: Click the Start button, then select "Settings" (gear icon).
Go to Troubleshoot: Navigate to "Update & Security" and then "Troubleshoot".
Select Audio: Click "Playing Audio" and then "Run the troubleshooter".
Follow the prompts: Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the troubleshooting process.
2. Check Audio Output Devices:
Go to Sound Settings: Go to Start > Settings > System > Sound.
Select Output Devices: Under "Advanced," select "Output devices" and follow the on-screen prompts to diagnose speaker issues.
To receive assistance from Dell chat support, they need to verify the warranty status and ownership. Then you must troubleshoot with them. Click the "Get Help Now" icon on the right to start a live chat session. If already out of warranty, click here for the Dell out of warranty offering.

Hi there,
Thank you for the above diagnostic processes. I have run and completed all of the above relevant system checks, unfortunately only audio from my second screen or auxiliary output sources are functioning. Dell support do not have any answers for me.
