Dell XPS SSD replacement new warranty

Hi. I purchased a dell xps 9700 with 11th gen i7. It came with 2 years warranty. I'm from sri lanka and bought it from a store in sri lanka. The warranty expires on NOV 2023. My laptop had booting issues so I took it to SINGER SERVICE CENTRE which is an authorized service centre for DELL ij my country.

They said they will be replacing the SSD and no charge because it's still in warranty.

I asked them so apart from the rest of the hardware parts my new replaced SSD will get a new warranty. They said no it will be under the old warranty which will expire in NOV 2023. They said its not in the policy for the new warranty just for the replaced part. 

Am I wrong ? Or shouldn't I get a minimum of 1 year warranty for the replaced SSD because with bad luck that could also be a faulty one
