Dell XPS Laptop - Can't unlock lock screen and impossible to get into boot menu
Nothing happens when I press ctrl+alt+delete or hold the power button+volume down button. I'm not able to reset windows either because pressing F12 to get into the boot menu does not work. I managed to get in it once by pure luck. I believe there was an error or something that forced it. If someone has a suggestion on how to trigger the boot menu, that would be great. When I got into the boot menu, the option to boot from the SD card (no USB ports on this device) wasn't available. It only said "UEFI Misc," which I clicked, but of course that just reset the device and I can't get into the boot menu again. Of course I realized after the fact that the "Boot from SD" wasn't enabled anymore in the UEFI. If I could just get to the boot menu one more time, I'm hoping that will work. I can only get into the bios/uefi by waiting for the battery to get "critically low" and then Dell support assist pops up allowing me to get in there or run diagnostics. Otherwise pressing F2 or any function button does not work. I've tried everything but throwing this thing against the wall. I've removed the CMOS and plugged it back in. Additionally, changing the boot order does NOTHING. It still just boots to the lock screen. I can change the SSD, but I really wanted to keep the one in this, though it's looking like the only option left. Any suggestions on how to force the boot menu to appear would be great.
Seems like all Dell laptops I've encountered are endless crazy problem pits. I've never had a computer that makes it impossible to unlock. That seems so odd to me. Even weirder is not being able to reset the device with the boot menu. Maybe I'm just doing something totally wrong, but from my experience recently, Dell laptops are just no good lol

Can't edit or delete. Finally figured out 1 of the issues. The keyboard was slightly disconnected. Must have accidentally moved it out of place when I was first trying to figure out the issue. Can finally get to the boot menu thankfully lol.
