Dell XPS 9440 Issues right from factory
XPS 14 9440
Hey all,
So long story here, but essentially I built and bought a laptop from Dell on Black Friday. I received the laptop two days before Christmas. Well within a week, I began having issues with the laptop. The screen started getting lines through it then finally it just stopped turning on. I contacted Dell Support and the tech was very helpful and had me send the laptop to a service center (within the 30 day exchange period).
So I sent the laptop away and got it back about 10 days later with a new motherboard. I turn the machine on and get prompted to enter a Bitlocker key, which I enter. I then get a blue screen saying the machine ran into issues and needs to restart. I restart it, get asked for the Bitlocker key again and again get a blue screen. I contact support again. Support walks me few a few things and they could not figure out what was wrong so they suggest doing a wipe of the laptop and a system update. They send me things and disconnect.
I do the update and now all my programs are gone and I cannot redownload them. My computer starts freezing again. I am back online with support. I do another system wipe and when the tech tries to analyze they system, it freezes and he is not able too. Somehow the laptop starts working again and we leave it there.
Well I am still having issues with the laptop, I have contacted Dell probably seven times so far, spoke with supervisors and their advanced service team, but I am still having issues.
It seems like my laptop is just a lemon but now since we are outside the 30 exchange period, the tech support guys are refusing to replace the computer. Honestly, I am getting really irritated with Dell Support having to call them and speak with them for hours every week for a laptop I paid $3000.00 and was defective right from the factory. Does anyone have any advice on what I can do to advance my concerns to higher levels in Dell?

Hi
Make Model and OS may help us understand.
Is it a https://www.dell.com/support/product-details/en-us/product/xps-14-9440-laptop/drivers
XPS 14 9440 with Windows 11??
Well some important people at Dell have linkedin profiles, and maybe you can make contact that-a-way.
I wont post any names, but if I can find 'em so could you.
However if you would like any help with the machine, please ask.

Man, that’s super frustrating, especially for a $3K machine. If you’ve already gone through tech support and escalated to supervisors with no luck, I’d suggest going the executive route. Try emailing Dell's executive customer service (you can usually find a contact with a quick search or on their investor relations page). Also, posting your experience on Twitter/X and tagging @DellCares sometimes gets a faster response. Definitely sounds like a lemon, and you shouldn’t have to keep jumping through hoops.
