Dell XPS 15 9575

Black Screen. the laptop monitor is no longer usable after the recent update. I have already tried an external device. I have tried all of the FN key combos, even if the laptop boots which is possible that is what is happening in the background. There is no way to see or move forward. I have not yet contacted Dell support there is no point as it is EOL and i suspect their update will be my costly problem. Any recommendations?

Start with a system reset.  Unplug the system, remove the base cover and disconnect the battery from the mainboard and hold the power button for 30 sec.  While the system is open, remove and reinstall the memory modules and the SSD. 

Reassemble and see if the system shows any sign of life. 

If it doesn't, it's likely in need of a mainboard -- which probably doesn't make sense on a system as old as this one;  you can likely find a newer used system for equivalent funds.
