Dell XPS 13 9300 water damage

I recently sustained water damage to my keyboard. It's been to a PC repair shop where they tore it apart and cleaned it up.

Now the keyboard is dead; does not respond to any button except the power button. Is there a way to locate the damage (keyboard or motherboard) before I look into ordering parts? Thanks!

If so, you need to replace the upper assembly (the keyboard-palmrest-touchpad is a single unit;  you cannot replace individual parts).

The service manual has the replacement procedure -- the entire system has to come apart to replace the component, so if you're having a shop do the job, expect at least one hour labor charge.

If the system does not at least POST (power up to a setup screen), the mainboard is damaged.

For a bit more detail, it now boots up fully to Windows; trackpad works, just not the keyboard.

Thanks a lot. I should be able to swap it out myself, just wanted to make sure it wouldn't be a wasted effort.
