Dell Universal Dock D6000 Temperature
Hi,
i recently bought a D6000 docking station and I am experiencing the following problem. When the dock is connected to my MacBook via USB-C cable, the temperature is 37-38 degrees Celsius on the upper part, while it is 45 degrees on the lower part. The firmware is updated to the latest version available on the website (A04).
When the dock is powered but not connected to the Mac, the temperature is normal.
Is all this normal?

i recently bought a D6000 docking station.
Was this purchased directly from Dell?
Is there a label on the D6000 with a 20 digit serial number? If yes, what is the 20 digit serial number? Using that I can ascertain the build date.
Do you have the same temperature issue when connected to a Windows operating system PC?
The D6000 docking station does not offer Apple macOS support. We see on the D6000 Drivers & Downloads page that the "Operating system" drop down offers Windows 7/8/8.1/10/11.
