Dell Thunderbolt Dock WD19TBS Fan Constantly Running

I purchased a W19TBS Dock station in July and the initially the fan ran sporadically. Now it runs constantly and is quite loud. The unit is not hot and sits under my desk is a cool well-ventilated spot. Based on the many similar reports online, stating that this behavior is how the WD19 fails, I'd like to resolve it before failure. Help please.
