Dell Support not honoring the charger replacement request on my $1800 dell xps 13 laptop due to unrecognized serial number on charger

I am attaching the conversation reply that I got after spending hours of troubleshooting and then about an hour worth of online chat and some more time on sending picture of the charger serial number and replying emails. I was told that my charger serial number did not match their records and so they cannot replace my bad charger despite of my laptop being within the warranty period. <Violations removed.
