Connect Inspiron 16 5640 to Curved Monitor S3422DW

Hello everyone!

I have just purchased the Dell Inspiron 16 5640, but I am having issues connecting it to my Dell curved monitor 34" S3422DW.

The image is stretched and the quality is terrible... I have been trying to play around with the resolution and scale, but nothing seems to fix it.

I used an Acer before and everything worked like a charm instantly. But now, with this new computer, I can't make it work, and paid 1300$ for a computer I can't even connect to my monitor.

I do not play video games, it is strictly to work on a wider monitor 

Anyone could help? Any solution?
