Bios xps 17 9710

The BIOS issue in the XPS 17 9710 device

My laptop had an issue where there was an exclamation mark next to the 3060 graphics card.

I suspected it might be related to either the chip or the BIOS, so I started with the BIOS.

I programmed the new BIOS and forgot to save the old one.

Now, I’m facing a new problem: the device won’t boot at all, and I can’t find the BIOS file anywhere.

Please, if anyone has the appropriate BIOS, kindly send it to me.

Board number:

Stradale MLK TGLH MB 19876-2

After solving the BIOS issue, if anyone has any suggestions for fixing the graphics problem, please let me know.

You can extract the BIOS image from the install file with a utility called PFSExtractor.

@ejn63

The file I received was 16 MB, while the BIOS is supposed to be 32 MB.

Either that's the flash chip size or you're including the VBIOS -- the package nowhere near 32G in size.

@ejn63

I couldn’t get it done, and honestly, I’m really stuck. If you can take it out and send it to me, it would really help me.

sometimes after a UEFI update it can take several minutes for the firmware to analyze the machine and build new tables of devices

@HedgeFundManager

I programmed the BIOS using the TNM device, and the original BIOS file is no longer available. That’s the situation.

In the device manager a yellow ! suggests a driver is not present

go to nvidia.com and grab the latest driver
