Battery Draining Faster Than Usual on Dell XPS 13
I’ve been using my Dell XPS 13 for quite some time, and it’s been great. But recently, I’ve noticed that the battery is draining a lot faster than usual, even with minimal usage. It used to last all day on a single charge, but now it barely lasts for a few hours.
I’ve already tried adjusting power settings and closing unnecessary apps, but the issue still persists. Has anyone else experienced this with the XPS 13 or other Dell laptops? Any suggestions on how to fix this battery drain issue would be really helpful.

It would help to know what model XPS 13, but run a battery report.
Open a command prompt with admin privilege and type powercfg /batteryreport.
What are the current and design charge capacity values for the battery?

Thanks for the suggestion!
I’m still looking into it and trying a few troubleshooting steps on my own. I’ll update if I find anything useful.

If "quite some time" is more than a couple of years, it's likely just battery aging -- for which the fix is a new battery. Calculate the percentage of the battery capacity remaining by dividing the current charge capacity by the design capacity and multiplying by 100.
As the capacity diminishes, so will the runtime of the battery.

Not enough information to know for sure, but if your laptop is over two years old your battery capacity may have been significantly degraded. As the batteries age they lose capacity. The other thing to look for is how many apps and processes are always running. Have you recently added software that draws more power?
