2019 XPS15 9570 Battery Charge issues

There are times when I unplug the computer from the charger it will boot up with a full charge then within minutes it will shut down for low battery.  One plugged in, it will charge to 100% unusually quickly.  I have not replaced the battery, it's the larger battery to support the graphics card.  Should I replace the battery, it couldn't hurt, or could it be a larger problem?
